General Dentistry Services for a Healthy Smile
Maintain a healthy and beautiful smile with personalized services from our general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Nathan Brown. Dr. Brown has extensive experience performing general dentistry procedures that can improve your oral health and reduce the risk of future dental health issues. From tooth extractions to root canal therapy, we serve our patients with comprehensive treatment plans and perform a variety of advanced procedures in-house for your convenience.
We take a conservative approach to removing the teeth with surgical and simple tooth extractions. Dr. Brown may recommend a tooth extraction when the teeth cannot be saved by any other method. You may need to have teeth extracted if they are broken, fractured, harboring gum disease or to prepare the mouth for orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Brown screens patients for oral cancer and performs a comprehensive exam to evaluate the condition of the tongue, gums, and tissues inside of the mouth. We check the tissues for any lumps and other abnormalities. Patients need to come in for an oral exam at least once a year.
Preventive dentistry is the best way to avoid costly and painful dental procedures and is important at every age. We can share specific home care guidelines and best practices to reduce the risk of tooth decay and improve your overall oral health.
We work hard to ensure our younger patients maintain healthy smiles and understand why brushing, flossing and regular checkups are essential for maintaining optimal oral health. Pediatric dentistry is about prevention and we offer several solutions for children, including sealants, fluoride treatments and mouth guards.
Root canal therapy may be needed when the pulp of the tooth becomes infected. Immediate treatment upon detection of the infection is usually necessary and this is a relatively simple in-office procedure. After the canals are clean, Dr. Brown will restore the tooth with filling material and rebuild the tooth with a permanent crown.
You may need to have your wisdom teeth removed if they are decayed, fractured or causing pain. We can perform the extractions at our office.
